As the snow melts, it’s time to sow seeds again and Ralph Behrens, a medical doctor who originally trained as a professional agronomist, is here to help, hosting the third Rossland REAL Food Sustainable Living Conversation at Café Books on March 26 at 3:30 p.m.

Bruce Aldorfer presents a cheque on behalf of the Rossland Golden City Lions Club to Joyce Austin. The funds will help pay for upcoming projects at the Rossland Historical Museum.

In response to the calamity in Japan, Rosslander David McCarthy has teamed up with Byron Whitlaw of AreaOne Events to co-organize a non-profit Japan Disaster Relief Fundraiser at the Miners’ Hall on Thursday, March 31, with all proceeds directed to Red Cross relief efforts.

The Rossland Eagles Auxiliary will host a borscht luncheon on March 26 as a benefit for Corbin Lew, a 10-year-old Castlegar boy who has been diagnosed with Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma, a cancerous brain tumor.
