Thomson talks about attainable housing for region

The Attainable Housing Committee (AHC) of the Lower Columbia Community Development Team (LCCDT) has hired housing consultant Matt Thomson to conduct an attainable housing needs assessment and prepare a housing strategy for the Lower Columbia Region. Three areas — Beaver Valley, the area from Warfield to Casino to Oasis, and Rossland to Patterson — will each receive localized attention.

Grade 7 RSS students finished up their Pysanky (Ukrainian Easter Eggs) just in time for Easter. Raw eggs are drawn on with hot wax, dyed in vibrant colours, and finally the wax is burned off to reveal the beautiful colours that were sealed in.

Kung fu instructor to teach women in 'flash-fight' defence

Women interested in developing their ability to defend themselves will be able to hone their survival instincts in an upcoming course on "Women's Fitness and Flash-Fight Defense" to be offered at Better Life Fitness from April 30 until June 20 by Kung Fu martial artist Taylor Capozzolo.
