Xander Bankes won first place in the Novice Boys division of the 2016 BC Bantam & Novice Championships

Rossland golfer Xander Bankes won first place in the Novice Boys division of the 2016 BC Bantam & Novice Championships at Bowen Island Golf Club last week.

Last year Bankes was runner up in the same competition and this year he won by one point in the Stableford format, edging out Nic Wrixon of North Vancouver with a final score of 85.
