Women only bike course

If you’re a woman and you enjoy mountain biking but don’t know much about repairs and or maintenance, Revolution Cycles is running a “women only” bike mechanics course on Thursday, May 2 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The course will teach you the basic skills to help you maintain your mountain bike, manage trailside repairs and learn what equipment you should always carry with you. The program is offered in an open forum style and will be tailored to the group’s needs.  Bring your own bike and get all of your questions answered.

After school mountain biking

The After School Mountain Bike Series for boys ages eight to 13 years starts on Thursday, May 9 from 3-5 p.m. and runs for five weeks. This program will focus on the combination of skill development and exposure to different terrain, in order to practice the skills. Possible trails include:  Green Door, Cemetery, Bones and Milky Way. Skills and progressions include: balance and body position, braking, descending, cornering (slow and high speed) flow, maneuvering over and around manmade obstacles, wheel lifts, safety and trail etiquette.
