A gourmet dinner organized by the SPCA? Could that be the same society that is in business to prevent cruelty to animals? Any animals?

The REC Department is excited about bringing Amber Oosthuyzen’s “Redefining Beauty” course to Rossland! Amber is a local teen from Trail who has developed a course for girls and young women that helps them to channel their self-worth, develop healthy relationships and teaches them to set the bar high.

Regarding George Penfold’s very pertinent points, I think we have to acknowledge that at some point in the relatively near future, services to our aging population won’t be the same as our parents experienced. Nor will services to the population as a whole be the same as they are now.

Over many years I’ve seen how various governments have taunted opponents and played the media to obfuscate reality. In this Mr. Harper and the Tories have had no rival, honestly!

This week’s School District 20 board meeting agenda contains all the input from the SD20 “Community Focus Group” meetings held in March in Castlegar, Rossland and Trail, as well as the input people sent in afterward.
