Was born in Myncaster, BC on February 7, 1928 assed away in Trail, BC on March 18, 2020 at the age of 92.
Margaret is predeceased by her husband I. Ray Scott, her son Stephen Smith, grandson Clayten Smith, parents Charles and Kathleen Eek, sisters Dora Johnson and Carol Brooks and her brothers Arthur and John Eek.
She is survived by her son Richard (Darlene) Smith, daughter in law Klara Smith, grandchildren Kurstun Sarah), Ben and Michael (Leslie) Smith, great grandchildren Kaelum, Aleah, Ivy Anna, sisters Kory McKim and Ruth Grubisic, sister in law Margaret Eek, her niece Barbara (Emmor) Sperry, nephew Mickey (Anne) Brooks and many, many more nieces and nephews.
Margaret enjoyed a multitude of different handy crafts; appliqueing, creating original quilting patterns, designing flower arrangements from dried seeds, crocheting doilies, baby clothes and her famous ski hats! She loved gardening; especially her flowers.
She will be forever remembered and loved as having been the caretaker in our family - from our babies to our elderly.
Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Gwen Ziprick of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
