Salmo RCMP is asking the public for tips about a serious assault that happened in the village outskirts last fall.
Cpl. Darryl Orr says on Oct. 11, Salmo police responded to the complaint of a beating that took place near Ymir at Porcupine Creek Road.
A 60-year old man was walking his dog when he assaulted by an unknown male suspect. The victim was subsequently transported to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The case remains under investigation and police are hoping that someone will come forward who either witnessed the assault or knows who the suspect may be.
