The historic Grand Forks Hotel was destroyed by a fire early Wednesday morning.

The historic Grand Forks Hotel and Winnipeg Hotel in Grand Forks, B.C. were on fire early Wednesday morning.

Though the Winnipeg Hotel managed to survive with minor destruction and smoke damage, the Grand Forks Hotel was completely destroyed.

Due to the nature of the fires, the police and fire department believe it may be a result of arson.

A Grand Forks resident has been charged.
