Monday night (Nov. 13), the RCMP received a report from medical professionals that a Trail woman had allegedly sustained a non-lethal gunshot wound to her wrist.
When she sought treatment for her injury, staff notified the detachment. Police say the woman declined to provide any useful information.
The case remains under investigation: Trail RCMP have requested assistance from the Southeast District General Investigation Section.
“Trail RCMP note that this is the second shooting incident in a short time and it may be connected to local organized crime,” Wicentowich adds. “The public was not believed to be in danger in relation to this incident,.”
