Rossland/Nelson moves ahead in Ski Town Showdown

Rossland/Nelson is headed to the third round of the Ski Town Throwdown competition.

The Rossland/Nelson combo is headed to the third round of the Ski Town Throwdown competition. The duo took the win after coming from behind against Whitefish, Montana.

The votes are cast through Powder Magazine’s Facebook page.

The Rossland/Nelson beat out the Montana ski hill with a final online tally of 3,491 to 3,176. Voting was live on Nov. 28 and 29.

Rossland/Nelson will move forward for the next round of voting Dec. 12 and 13. They will be up against either Crested Butte or Steamboat Springs, both out of Colorado.

Powder Magazine began the March Madness-style competition to allow its readers to rank their favorite North American ski towns.
