The Rossland Arena’s ice cleaner is again in the spotlight as a film crew representing a T.V. show in the United Kingdom visited the rink earlier this month.

The crew focused their lens on the 1972 Ford 3000 tractor as part of a show called “World’s Most Amazing Tractors.”

“I stumbled upon a segment of a UK-based TV show being filmed at the Rossland arena last night,” said videographer Geoff Fontes. “The crew is from Vancouver and Yukon and have been contracted by the show’s producers.”

A decade ago the Rossland Arena tractor was made famous by an endearing short film called The Flood by Scott Carlson and narrated by Rob Sulman.

“World’s Most Amazing Tractors” is not currently broadcast in Canada, but it may be syndicated in North America in the future.

According to Fontes, the crew was interviewing and filming Holli Nowak from Rossland Recreation and Raymond Von Diebeisch, who has more experience with the 1972 Ford 3000 tractor than anyone else.
