Our History in Pictures

Lest we forget …

This Remembrance Day, we’re reflecting on the ideas of peace and sacrifice, as the crowd in this photograph surely were at their Armistice Day Service at the Cenotaph on Nov. 14, 1968.

Through the month of November, the Rossland Museum & Discovery Centre will have special exhibits set up in honour of Remembrance Day.

Visit the museum to learn more about Rossland’s overseas efforts, and stop by the library to see an exhibit about Rossland’s homefront activities.

The museum and the library both have letter-writing stations set up until Nov. 11, so if you haven’t already, you can visit them today to write a postcard or colour a picture to send to our local veterans. Learn more online at rosslandmuseum.ca/news/2021veterans-week.
