Museum hiring student

The Rossland Museum is hiring a part-time student.

The Rossland Museum and Discovery Centre is hiring a student as a part-time museum assistant.

The museum has applied for funding through the CBT School Works program, which will allow them to hire a student 15 years or older from the Columbia Basin region.

“We haven't been approved yet, so it's pending funding,” says Joelle Hodgins, museum director. “It's hopefully an annual thing that we would do to hire a high school student or it could be post-secondary as well.”

The job would be for a maximum of 15 hours a week, helping out with fall kids programming and archival organization, among other things.

“It's just a lot of helping us out wherever their skill set lies,” says Hodgins.

The museum will be accepting applications until the position is filled.
