Local business owner sought for green group

Greener Footprints, a non-profit society founded in 2005 to help consumers choose waste-free options in the marketplace — for example, eschewing plastic bags at the grocery store — would like to recruit a Rossland business owner to their board.

“If you are a Rossland business owner who is passionate about the environment and interested in joining forces with like minded people who would like to change the way our world is packaged, please email me,” said board member Amanda Hamilton.

The society is particularly interested in small business owners with experience in fundraising, web design, or who have a vision for a project that fits within Greener Footprint’s mandate. The group expects the volunteer commitment will be at least four hours per month in addition to “attending” quarterly board meetings, either in person or over the phone or Internet.
