B.C. is sending firefighters and equipment to help battle wildfires burning in Idaho.
One 40-unit crew consisting of personnel from the Northwest, Prince George and Coastal fire centres leaves for Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on Thursday.
Two air tankers and a birddog aircraft were sent earlier this week to Boise.
B.C. crews have already helped out this year in Alberta, Yukon, the Nortwest Terrtories, Quebec and Alaska.
Officials with B.C.’s Wildfire Management Branch said they still have enough personnel and resources at the ready to combat forest fires within B.C., based on the current level of fire activity and forecasted conditions.
Idaho will pick up the costs of the B.C. crews and equipment assisting there.
Fire crews lent to a different jurisdiction are deployed for up to 14 days but can be recalled at any time.
