Police seek to return ashes after glass urn turned into the Greater Trail detachment

The Trail and Greater District RCMP is seeking help from the public to return a precious item to a family.

On Friday, Jan. 25, an urn containing ashes was turned into the local detachment.

Described as a red glass urn, the object has the letters “BLS” written on a brown leather strap wrapped around the outside.

Sgt. Mike Wicentowich advises that the RCMP is looking to return the urn to its rightful owner, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Trail police at 250.364.2566.
