Police are asking for tips to identify two people, in a grey truck, suspected to be involved in the theft of two motorcycles valued at close to $23,000.

This case began the morning of Saturday, April 15, when a Trail RCMP officer received a report that two blue Yamaha off-road motorcycles — valued at $22,778 — were stolen from the property of Glacier Edge Motorsports, located at 1470 Highway 3B, in Fruitvale.

The theft is suspected to have occurred that morning between 4:19 a.m. and 6:22 a.m.

An officer attended the scene, conducted an examination and seized evidence. Surveillance footage captured the crime, which is being reviewed by an investigator. At this point, police have only revealed that a grey truck and two perpetrators are suspected to be involved in the crime.

Witnesses and anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the two suspects, are urged to call the Trail detachment at 250.364.2566 to speak to an investigator.

“Trail RCMP and the business owner would like to recover the two stolen motorcycles,” says Sgt. Mike Wicentowich. “This is a local small business, and this theft has hit them hard financially.”
