The Salmo and District Healthcare Auxiliary has made another generous donation of $5,000 to the Orthopedic Enhancement Project.

"Their support brings us even closer to our $750,000 fundraising goal, directly enhancing orthopedic care at KBRH and helping patients get back to the activities they love,” the KBRH Health Foundation shares.

“Thank you for generously sharing your time and energy for the betterment of our communities.”

About the Orthopedic Enhancement Project

This $750,000 campaign will purchase state of the art medical equipment for the KBRH operating rooms, to be used by the hospital's six orthopedic surgeons.

New equipment will allow the surgical team to continue providing hip and knee replacement; hip, knee, ankle, shoulder, hand and wrist repair; and trauma surgeries.

Additionally, the project supports a new level of service for patients including total ankle replacements and hip and knee replacements with a one-day discharge.
