Oodles of noodles: Trail RCMP respond to fence dispute

The neighbour’s dog was happily devoured the noodles ...

Shortly  before 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24, Trail RCMP received an unusual call from a West Trail home regarding a not-so-neighbourly spat involving noodles.

According to police, a man had been tossing noodles into his neighbour’s yard much to the delight of the neighbour’s dog, who happily devoured the surprise snacks.

The dog’s owner, however, wasn’t as amused and tried to address the issue directly with their noodle-tossing neighbour.

The conversation didn’t go as planned and quickly escalated, prompting the dog owner to contact RCMP.

A frontline officer responded and spoke with both parties involved.

Ultimately, the two neighbours agreed to avoid further interactions, and the officer determined that no additional noodles would be thrown over the fence.

Sgt. Mike Wicentowich reflected on the incident, adding with a chuckle, “I believe the dog was the only one not upset by this conflict.”

RCMP are hopeful this marks the end of the carbohydrate conflict in the 600 block of Hendry Street.
