A local nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and youth is calling on the community for help.

Family Action Network (FAN) is hosting its Family Day Auction on Saturday, Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Trail Memorial Centre gym.

The network is asking for donations to this event, which brings families together while raising crucial funds for FAN’s free programs that support low-income families.

"Our mission is to ensure that everyone feels valued and supported, and we depend on local generosity to continue giving back to the community," explains Chantel Fullerton, development lead and project support, Family Action Network.

"To ensure the success of the auction, we kindly request donations of items, services, or gift cards."

Fullerton emphasizes that every dollar raised will directly support families in need.

Businesses that contribute will also be recognized on FAN’s social media for their generosity.

"Your donation is crucial in helping us provide free services that nurture families in our community, making our community the best place to raise a family," Fullerton adds.

"Together, we can continue supporting local families."

To donate, contact Fullerton at 250-864-3796 or chantel@familyactionnetwork.ca.

The deadline for donations is Feb. 12, though sooner would be appreciated.
