Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue put their barbecue skills to the test earlier this month, teaming up with the Kootenay Emergency Response Physicians Association (KERPA), Kootenay Savings, and Kootenay Insurance Services for an afternoon fundraiser.
The barbecue event raised funds to support both the regional fire department and KERPA.
What is KERPA?
KERPA is a Canadian registered charity founded in 2016, with a mission to assist the most critically ill and injured patients in the Kootenay region.
The organization deploys volunteer emergency response physicians to 911 calls involving immediate threats to life, providing advanced medical support and assisting frontline emergency services in life-saving efforts.
