Biologist to share insight on pollinators at Rossland museum

Honeybees and Other Pollinators, will begin at 6 p.m., April 24: RSVP

Rossland Museum and Discovery Centre will host a special presentation next Thursday, April 24, featuring biologist Richard McCrea in the latest instalment of its April Speaker Series.

The talk, titled Honeybees and Other Pollinators, will begin at 6 p.m. and promises a thought-provoking look into the world of the insects that keep ecosystems blooming.

McCrea, whose background spans ecology, entomology, botany, and palynology, will share both scientific knowledge and practical advice for supporting pollinator populations.

While pollinators are not his primary field of research, McCrea and his partner, Lisa, are deeply committed to promoting pollinator-friendly practices in their own lives, a theme that will be woven throughout his talk.

Visitors can expect an engaging and accessible evening, with plenty to offer everyone from dedicated nature lovers to casual gardeners.

Admission is by donation, and light refreshments will be available.
