Antique firearms stolen from Trail business

Suspects fled Cedar Avenue business before police arrived

Early Friday (June 7), the RCMP responded to a report of a break, enter, and theft in progress at a business located in the 1400 block of Cedar Avenue, in Trail. 

Officers arrived to discover that the suspects had fled.

The owner reported a number of antique firearms had been stolen after thieves gained entry through an unsecured entry point. 

The matter remains under investigation. 

Anyone with information, or knowing the whereabouts of the firearms, is urged to call the Trail detachment at 250.364.2566

“Please make sure all entry points into your property are secure," advises Sgt. Mike Wicentowich, Trail RCMP detachment commander.

"And take extra security precautions like installing security cameras if necessary."
