Vancouver-based rock-reggae group Redeye Empire will be playing at the Steamshovel on July 2, just one day after releasing their fourth album, Last Chance For Sunshine.

To celebrate the release, the band began a tour of B.C., Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California on June 23, and will continue into August.

The five-piece band, whose upbeat sound is described as a blend of reggae, rock, ska, and hip-hop, has had a steady base of fans for almost five years and have toured with the likes of G Love & Special Sauce, Pepper, Fishbone, Slightly Stoopid, Michael Franti, and Xavier Rudd.

Redeye Empire’s laid-back attitude, genuine charisma, and energetic live show, complete with a Sublime tribute set, can be enjoyed for free at the Steamshovel on Saturday. For more on the band, visit www.redeyeempire.com.
