Nelson author Deryn Collier was at Café Books West for the launch of her debut novel Confined Space on Saturday.
The book is a mystery novel set in a small mountain town and revolves around a suspicious deaths in a brewery.
Collier said she had been working at the Creston brewery when the idea for the novel struck her and she quit her job to write it, though she admitted that she’d always wanted to write a crime novel.
