The last show of the the third season of the Joe Hill Coffeehouse wrapped up on Sunday night with the fiery flamenco tunes of father and son duo John and Andrew Cullen.

The Father's Day concert in the historic Miners' Hall began with a family band from Nelson, The Nelsons, featuring sisters Indiana and Lexie, who dedicated a song to their dad, Arron.

Dancers from Renee Salsiccioli's Kootenay Danceworks studio thrilled the audience with their own choreographed routines, and Mara Sand and Grant Freeman's jazz, blues and folk set included the jazz standard Song For My Father.

The audience included young and old fans of the eclectic mix of talent showcased at each monthly Joe Hill concert, and the fourth season will continue the tradition on Sept. 18.

The whole production is a volunteer effort led by Michael Gifford who encourages both performers and volunteers to contact him at 362-7170 or giffmus@telus.net.

Terry and Janet Marshall ran this final Coffeehouse in Gifford’s absence, and also performed.
