Burton Cummings hits the Trail stage May 31, tickets on sale Friday

Multi Juno Award winner and Canadian music Hall of Famer, Burton Cummings and his all star band are coming to both Cranbrook and Trail to perform.

The Cross Canada tour is called “Burton Cummings and band Unplugged….the hits like you have never heard them before.”

The Bailey Theatre in Trail will host the first of the Kootenay shows on Wednesday, May 31.

Then on Saturday, June 3, Cummings and his band will grace the stage at Cranbrook’s Key City theatre.

Both shows are 7:30 p.m starts.

In his two previous appearances in the Kootenays in the past ten years or so, Cummings performed solo on stage and all shows sold out very quickly.

So music fans are advised to buy their tickets early to avoid disappointment. Tickets go on sale on Friday, March 17.

Burton Cummings is the voice of a generation and is widely considered as one of the finest rock voices in Canadian history. His musical creations continue to resonate with fans both old and new and he has continued to uphold his impressive reputation as a singer, songwriter, and performer.

One thing that sometimes is forgotten about the magic of all this, is that Cummings is not only a great vocalist he is a superb musician as well. So much so, that former Beatles member Ringo Starr invited Burton to play keyboards in his band during one of his tours just a few years ago.

Just another accolade to add to a very impressive collection which includes multiple Juno Awards, dozens of gold and platinum records and a place in the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and on Canada’s Walk of Fame.

His song American Woman was acclaimed the No 1 single in Canadian music history in a recent best selling book The Top 100 songs of all time.
