Selkirk College Digital Arts & New Media Program (DANM) students are preparing to end the school year with a feast for the senses at Nelson’s Mary Hall on April 17.

The annual year end show will feature the best work by students who have toiled in the classroom since September using cutting edge technology to create eye-popping works.

“It’s an exciting time for the students in the program with the year coming to an end,” says second year DANM student Jennifer Haist. “There will be amazing works of art from the first and second year students. The show will feature student’s skills in web design, animation, photography, film and graphic design.”

The crowd-pleasing show returns to Nelson’s Tenth Street Campus—home of the DANM Program—after taking last year’s event to Baker Street. A video compilation of student short animations and film projects will be featured, in addition to a number of interactive displays.

To help set the mood, the event will feature live music from the local DJ Mooves.

This year students are putting together a bursary for future students of the program. There will be select art prints for sale and all proceeds from the purchase of these pieces will go to the bursary.

Come to Mary Hall on April 17 and enjoy the talent of tomorrow’s leaders in design, photography and film. The year end show runs from 6 to 9 p.m. and is open to everyone in the community.
