Programming News:

• Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) days with Julie are Tuesdays at 3 p.m. In-person sessions have already begun.

• Books and Babies is every Friday from 11-11:30 a.m. in Harry’s Room.

• February is Black History Month. We have a wide range of authors and titles to celebrate.

• Our Free Library has been installed out front. You may take a book or leave a book.

Art Displays

• View “The Covid Gallery” by Freya and Annika Dixon-Reuszt and Jane Dixon-Warren as well as new art by Morgan Bialkowski and Sharon Roberts.

• Works by Sue Dean, Lena Obal, Janell Lancaster, and Julie MacDermott are in Harry’s Room.

• Artists interested in having their work displayed may apply online at https://rossland.bc.libraries.coop/local-artwork-in-the-library/

Indigenous Book Club

• The next meeting is via Zoom on Tuesday, March 15th from 7 to 8:30 p.m. to discuss The Northwest is our Mother: The Story of Louis Riel’s People, the Metis Nation by Jean Teillet. Limited paper copies are available. Ask the front desk staff how to access your e-copy.

Kootenay Local Book Club

• Join us at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th via Zoom to discuss What Narcissus Saw, a collection of short stories by Fernie author Gordon Sombrowski.
