Patricia 'Pat, Patsy' Dorey

Born to parents Steve and Anne Bowen, Mom's life journey began on March 17th, 1927, in Rossland B.C .
We are saddened to announce her passing on August 17th, 2023, in Rosewood Village with family by her side.
Pat was the eldest and she had one sister (Marie) and two brothers (Ken and Bob).
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Will Dorey, her son Rob Dorey, and her great-grandson William Blair. Mom will be deeply missed by her daughters Colleen (Bob) and Cecilia (Pat).
Nana Pat will be lovingly remembered by her 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Pat was a Rossland girl, she was born there, went to school there, married a Rossland man, raised her family there and lived her whole life there. She shared her life in Rossland with her parents, her husband's parents, their families and many close personal and family friends.
Her practical, hard-working, supportive and loving nature made her an important part of Rossland and the lives of her family and friends.
Pat also had an adventurous and fun-loving side. She was born on St Patrick's Day and was proud of and celebrated her Irish heritage. She was unafraid, always ready to pack a suitcase and set out. She explored the world with a fun and adventurous spirit and lived in Turkey where she embraced the country and bonded with her Turkish neighbours.
She also travelled to our homes to join us and support us during important times in our lives.
We are proud of our Mom and thankful for the example she set and the many ways she showed her love.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, September 11th, 2023, at 11:00 am at Rossland Sacred Heart Church with Father Xavier as Celebrant.
