Kathy Moore wins the Mayor seat in Rossland's Municipal Election by 877 votes.

Rossland's new female Mayor is Kathy Moore.

One vote will make all the difference to determine the final seat on Council!In regards to the tie vote between John Greene and Tim Thatcher at 788 votes at piece, only one of them can sit on Council. The Chief Election Officer for Rossland has announced there will be a manual recount at 1pm on Monday 17 November. If this produces a tie vote then a Judicial Recount will take place. Then if it is still a tie The City of Rossland Bylaw #2572 states the tie vote will be resolved by conducting a lot in accordance with section 141 of the Local Government Act. A lot is conducted by writing both candidates names on a piece of paper and drawing out a 'winner'. The person's name on the piece of paper will receive the final 'vote'.
