Red shredding the love tomorrow

Red Resort will be having a special occasion tomorrow, with the Shred the Love benefit.

The event is a fundraiser for Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC), a non-profit dedicated to providing education, prevention and support programs for young people on the subject.

Sponsored by The North Face, the event will see half of lift ticket revenue going to B4BC's initiatives.

Activities at Red during the day will include ski and snowboard demoes as well as breast cancer screening information booths. Top skiers and snowboarders including Megan Pischke, Kendra Starr and Kasha Rigby will be in attendance.

Shred the Love is open to all who want to help raise funds for a great cause by skiing at RED that day. The event will also include raffles of top ski and snowboard gear and drink specials in Rafters, which will help raise funds as well.

Musician Allen Stone will be playing a special concert in the bar starting at 5 p.m.

Shred the Love is one of several Women’s Week (Jan. 31 – Feb. 4, 2013) activities at RED Mountain Resort. Women’s ski and snowboard camps from top women’s snow sports athletes will also be taking place – pro skier Allison Gannett is hosting Rippin Chix ski camp Feb. 2-3.
