As part of Golden City Days, the Rossland Thrift Shop is celebrating. We have two things to celebrate:

The Rossland Health Care Auxiliary Society has reached a landmark with their current donation total of $1 million to Kootenay-Boundary Regional Hospital, and the second: Our renovations to the Thrift Shop have been completed.

Come celebrate with us on Friday Sept. 8 and Saturday Sept 9. Times Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday after the parade until 4 p.m. We’ll be serving cake and coffee and tours of the whole building. In the spirit of Golden City Days the window sales display will feature collectibles and old treasurers. There will be a draw for a $20 Thrift Shop gift certificate, enough to buy your whole winter wardrobe.

Look for the Thrift Shop “Golden Girls” in the parade.

Many thanks to all those who helped make our needed renovations possible: Columbia Basin Trust, TECK, Nelson & District Credit Union, KB Regional District and Dave Braithwaite and crew from Kokasaurus Contracting.

We wish to say thanks to those who donate goods to us, to those who buy from us and to all our hard working volunteers.

With out all these people we wouldn’t be as successful.
