The winner of last season’s Great Canadian Baking Show, Loïc Fauteux-Goulet, will be visiting the Kootenay Gallery of Art next month for a reception and cake decorating workshop.

Fauteux-Goulet will provide a demonstration of both 2D and 3D cake decorating techniques for creating beautiful floral designs on May 5. Participants will have the opportunity to decorate their own cakes under his tutelage.

There are only 20 tickets available for the demonstration. The cost is $80 and registration is required.

Following the demonstration, there will be a meet and greet reception with space for 50 participants.

Guests will have opportunity to hear Fauteux-Goulet speak about his culinary journey, while enjoying refreshments and a slice of cake baked by Fauteux-Goulet himself.

Registration is also required for the reception and tickets are $25.

Kootenay Gallery of Art members have an opportunity for exclusive registration until April 9, after which time the general public is welcome to register.

More information and registration forms can be found at kootenaygallery.com/eventsinfo/workshops. Registration will close on Friday, April 26.
