With a background in marketing and communications Australian native, Alicia Wallace, joins the media group as Part-Time Reporter for Rossland News. Alicia has a degree in Tourism Business Management and a Diploma in Interactive Digital Media. She enjoys all aspects of reporting and photography for Rossland News. Alicia’s local government experience has afforded her the opportunity to work with a diverse range of community members. Alicia arrived in Rossland after hearing how good the skiing can be and how welcoming the local community members are. “What I enjoy most about Rossland is the friendly locals and wealth of experiences offered from mountain biking, hiking and events to skiing,” she says.

Jennifer is the new Operations Manager in the Castlegar office. With a background in retail business, and a short stint working for the Nelson Star in 2010, Jennifer comes to the table with experience, understanding and knowledge of what it takes to run a business in a small community. After taking a couple of years to travel and see the world, she returns with energy and passion to help lead the team to greater success. Having lived in Nelson most of her life, Jennifer welcomes the challenge of managing the Castlegar News, Rossland News, Arrow Lakes News and West Kootenay Advertiser and looks forward to getting to know these communities better. She is a Rotary club member, community volunteer, and spends her free time playing outside.

After studying Graphic Design/Illustration and Marketing at Red River College I started my career in Prince Albert, Sk. I've recently moved out to the Kootenays where I continue my passionate for creating really cool print and web designs. I enjoy every opportunity to do what I love and take great pride in what I create.
